The Utter Relief of Holiness

Whole and holy. Have we ever put those two words together before? We've thought of wholeness as something for which we hope ... that remains elusive. And as for holiness, doesn't the word sound sort of heavy and disciplined and hard?

It's not.

When we discover what the salvation of Jesus Christ means for our own restoration, we'll find that holiness is an expression of the healing of our humanity. What a relief it would be to be set free from all that plagues us: the inner struggle with anger or contempt--the struggle with habitual sins.

We can! We can be set free, ... through the healing work of Christ in our lives.
